I tried the free trial for a month, after three days Norman went missing, I could not find it. I re-installed it and it kept saying it was interrupted and it had not been. Why am I prevented from copying the key into the program?<br />
I went to the Norman web site and I was told my account was closed. I said, why not buy the program, so I bought the program and now it will not install and I can not access the help because my account is closed. A weaker person could get really upset. Let me tell you, I am not that strong. I expected to be able to install it at least...<br />

Still the McAfee installer claims it cannot install because Norman Security Suite is installed. I have tried to remove a few elements in Registry after searching the text 'Norman', but this did not help.<br />

One of the parts of my BA essay is comparison of discussion forums providing help to users whose computer is infected by malware. I have a list of questions and I will really appreciate if someone give me about 15 minutes answering these questions. It will really help me! Here are the questions:<br />

- Counselors/moderators are helping just with the products of your company or do they also help to users if they have inficated their computer by some malware and they do not know, what to do and how to cope with that?<br />

Since around a week, I've been experiencing some problems with the Norman Security Suite Personal Firewall (I believe that is the program that is causing it). After I finished one game of League Of Legends, I can not acces the internet anymore. I can not connect to Skype, load any site or do something that requires internet acces. However, I still am connected to my router, and it does say that I have internet acces (I use W7 64 bit). And when I look at the little Norman icon in the bottom left, I see there is something that I believe is a red circle, with a white X in the middle. And when I 'hoover' over it with my mouse, it says that the Personal Firewall is not active. When I try to disable the Personal Firwall, it won't let me. I do not get a message or anything, it just doesn't respond. I only can regain internet acces when I restart my computer. I hope I have given enough information.<br />

due to security my network is designed like this<br />
vlan1 clients and printers  with own iprange<br />
vlan 2 servers with own iprange<br />
vlan3 secure nem server with own iprange<br />

My problems is that i have to use active discovery to find clients in vlan1 and vlan2. Passive discovery does not seem to find clients and i have to use active discovery and manually puch ex 10.0.0.1-10.0.0.253....<br />

passive discovery and icmp are on in NEM settings<br />
icmp between vlans are open and also port 2868..<br />
<br />
Am i missing something in settings?? Why does not nem find my other networks with passive discovery?? Are there any way to define networks to discover?<br />

Also according to admin guide for NEM 9.X Active discovery is not present so i then cant upgrade because clients are not found with passive discovery....]]></description>

1) After I restart the computer, the Norman Security Suite starts up. After a short while I do have to instances of the Norman running. This is shown in the status bar with two Norman icons. In the task manager I have two processes of "zlh.exe *32", one using a little bit more kB than the others. Right now (5908 kB and 6928 kB). Both are the same file, in the C:\Program Files\Norman\Npm\Bin folder. <br />

I don't feel safe in this situations and I am wondering if this is can be same issue as in; <a href="http://forum.norman.com/showthread.php?tid=4080" target="_blank">http://forum.norman.com/showthread.php?tid=4080</a> ??<br />

The Norman SecuritySuite fits my needs perfect so far. But since the last Update (of the Productmanager?) around of the 6th March, I cant reach my MySQL-Server on Localhost (using XAMPP on Windows7 64) on Normans firewall enabled. <br />

Simple Websites on Localhost (normal rendering time ~1-2 sec) are still callable (with encreased render times around factor 10), but when I try to open a local CMS-Website or my Local Database Manager (phpMyAdmin) the sql-server seems to be unvailable and it throws me an mySQL-2002 Error<br />

I deleted the 'old' rule, restarted the computer, turned on the HTTP- and SQL-Server, opened phpMyAdmin, granted the 'mysql.exe' right in the Norman-popup, and...... nothing. Still not works (due to a performance/time problem?)<br />

I am a fulltime webdeveloper, and I need both: a firewall and my localhost.<br />
<br />
Any tips are welcome<br />

Is there an Update or some thing that will fix this, as the repair tool seems to not do anything at all, i click the repair option and within the time it take to click start or what ever the button says it say it has repaired and fix, which i highly dought it could fix it in .002 of a nano second.]]></description>
